  • Job Description

    JOB OBJECTIVE:  Promote the offerings of the culinary team and provide general administrative support to the department.


    1. Support Sr Manager, Culinary Operations and the Culinary team with general administrative tasks (calendar, scheduling, ProCard, room inspections, EtQ training, records retention, meeting notes and follow up, communications with team and others in company).

    2. Work with Corporate Affairs and BTC Events on coordination of events.

    3. Coordinate Culinary Programs. Be point of contact for general questions from employees and outside events.

    4. Assist with onboarding of new employees and general company communication with culinary employees.

    5. Participate in Promega’s admin link group including monthly meetings.

    6. Share culinary happenings, events, etc. to others in company via email and other vehicles.

    7. Maintain the Culinary team Inside site by ensuring data is up to date and promoting menus, events, etc.

    8. Promote cafeteria through Yammer and other internal/external social media.

    9. Understands and complies with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.


    1. Arrange for catering set up/clean up off site.

    2. Computer work including labels, signs, recipes.

    3. Back up front desk.

    4. Run errands as needed.

    5. Other duties as assigned.


    1. High school diploma or equivalent.

    2. Strong interest in local foods and farms.

    3. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in an office and/or restaurant environment.

    4. Flexible to changing needs, schedule changes and new projects.

    5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    6. Excellent interpersonal skills to work with employees and managers at all levels and to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

    7. Excellent organizational skills to effectively prioritize duties and responsibilities. Strong attention to detail. 

    8. Solid computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to work in a network environment and adapt to new systems and processes.

    9. Ability to work independently as well as in group settings. Ability to make decisions, as well as exercise judgment and discretion in daily and administrative tasks. Understands the need for and possesses the ability to maintain confidentiality as needed.


    1. Associate or Bachelor’s degree.

    2. Prior experience in a similar role.

    3. Event planning experience.

    4. SharePoint experience.

    1. Ability to use computer and office equipment for extended periods of time.

    2. Ability to move efficiently between buildings on our campus.

    3. Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

    4. Ability to drive on behalf of the organization and hold a valid driver’s license.
